Dealer Spotlight: Doug Brady HiFi

Doug Brady HiFI Shop Front

This month’s Dealer Spotlight features one of the UK’s longest established audio dealers, Doug Brady HiFi in Warrington. In fact, 2020 is the company’s 60th Anniversary year, having been founded in Liverpool in 1960 as W.A. Brady & Son. The Warrington shop opened in 1983 and has been trading from the same premises ever since.

Although Doug Brady himself retired ten years ago, the business retains the same ethos that has made Brady’s one of the UK’s best-known and most enduring hifi retailers: a wide range of top-performing hifi equipment and the best advice and customer service.

The current team (Miguel, Dan, Jon, Andrew and manager Steve) has brought renewed vitality to the shop and the company has had a tremendously successful year.

For obvious reasons, many of the planned events for the 60 years celebrations have had to be postponed, but we look forward to the 61st Anniversary next year!

For their featured system, Doug Brady’s have chosen the Neat Ultimatum XLS speakers and partnered them with the outstanding DCS Bartok streaming DAC and the superb Norma Audio IPA-140 Integrated Amplifier. For spinning vinyl, we have the SME Synergy turntable and all cabling is by Audiomica. The system is presented by the newest (but not youngest!) member of the team, Miguel.
