Neat Acoustics at the Show

We were delighted to attend the recent show where several important developments in the Neat range were presented.

The event marked the world debut of the new Iota Alpha II, the latest evolution of our compact Iota loudspeaker design. Despite its modest footprint the Alpha II continues the philosophy that has guided the Iota concept from the beginning. Listeners often remark that once the music starts the loudspeakers seem to disappear, producing a presentation that feels far larger than their compact size might suggest.

Alongside the Alpha II we also demonstrated the Iota II, together with the Classic Mystique shown in the newly available Gloss Ruby Flame finish. This striking finish attracted considerable attention during the show and highlighted the craftsmanship and individuality of the Classic range.

The room was busy throughout the event and we were pleased to see a great deal of interest throughout the show. Visitors often returned for a second listen, many surprised by the scale and energy that the Iota designs can produce from such small enclosures.

Several members of the press visited the room during the event. Hi-Fi+ commented on the performance of the new Alpha II, noting that while it retains the slim and easy-to-place footprint of the original design, the latest version delivers a clear step forward in refinement, with cleaner leading edges, a more continuous midband and bass that is deeper and more agile than its size might normally suggest.

The team from Hi-Fi Pig also enjoyed the demonstration, highlighting the spacious presentation and the sense of energy that has long been associated with Neat loudspeakers.

Finally, What Hi-Fi? visited the room and later listed the Iota Alpha II among the twelve most exciting products at the show. They noted just how compact the speakers appear in person, describing them as barely knee-high, yet capable of producing a sound that is anything but small.
